Corona, California
If you look at a map of southern California, you'll
see there are a lot of places to go: Los Angeles, Hollywood, Beverly Hills,
Malibu...the list goes on. So where did I go when I took a trip
out to the LA area? Corona, California.
I've actually been lucky enough to have visited the city several times now. The
first time was at night, and the second and third times were during the day. I've got
pictures from the first two trips posted here of signs that I thought were neat,
given my connection to a fictional group called the Coronas.

My favorite place, since all my Coronas are pilots, is the Corona Municipal Airport. This was the first picture I took on my first trip, and it was
the highlight by far, making those two hours I sat in traffic
to get there worth it. I thought this was the best sign ever... |
...Until I saw this sign at the airport on my next trip. A Corona Pilots
Association. That's just awesome. |
The next-best part of the airport was the Corona Flight Academy. |
Just to show how crazy I really am, I took along one of my Corona action
figures so I could have a picture of a Corona pilot at the Corona airport.
The flash didn't really cooperate, though. Oh well. |
Buckle up, Corona. |
The Corona auction grounds. Some days, it almost sounds like a good
idea. |
This picture of the "Corona Founders" memorial was taken in the Corona
City Park. The action figure is Commander Mackin, and while Mack didn't start the squadron, he's been in command the longest by far, so it's essentially always been his. |
I took this picture because of the Corona Hearing Aid Center. Mackin
seems to think that all of his pilots need to go make use of their services. |
Along similar lines, there's even an optometrist at the mall. Sometimes
he says they need their eyes checked, too. |
Bad picture, but this is the sign for the Corona Mall. |
Clubhouse...Pilot Lounge...kinda close. *g* Okay, not really, but in
my mind they're close enough. |
Quiver thought a Corona church was just great. |
