This picture of Corona Street is from an earlier trip to Springfield,
Massachusetts. |

The same street in Massachusetts, but at another intersection.
|

Coronada Boulevard, a couple miles from where I live.
|
Another of those "too cool for words" signs. Darins Lane, a mere half
hour drive from where I live. Anyone live near a Quiver Street? I need
a picture of that now. |
Corona Road outside of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Man, this was definitely
what I'd consider a dirt road. I kept wondering how I'd ever explain to
a tow truck why I was out there,
after a rain, in a muddy pot hole a foot deep. But I was determined to
get this picture, dang it, and thankfully I didn't get stuck. |

I need a much better picture of this. The bottom sign is for Pellicer
Creek in northeast Florida. This sign is the source for the name of my
character Pellicer.
|

Pellicer Lane in St. Augustine, Florida. It's in the same general area
as Pellicer Creek, so I think there was a family influence. Plus this
intersection is with Mackey Lane, which is the closest I've found to
Mackin's name so far.
|

Pellicer Road on the other side of St. Augustine, strengthening my
theory about a family influence in the area. I need to research that
better.
|

This sign is the source for the name of Darin's father, Jodeco. I get
lots of name ideas from street, town and river signs, as you can tell.
This particular road is by I-75 in Georgia.
|

This Corona Drive is in Tacoma, Washington.
|

Near my hotel in Tacoma, Washington, I found this sign. I really need
to get a daytime photo of this, but for now, this pre-dawn one will
have to do. On the flight into Tacoma, I had been working almost
exclusively on a new revision of "Commencement," so to spot this sign
for "Commencement Bay" that day when first going to the hotel was a
strange kind of spooky coolness.
|

Here we have some Corona-related edible items. There's Mack toffee,
Corona sweet chocolate, and Quakes rice snacks.
|

The sign for a town named Korona in eastern Florida.
|

It's not a direct Corona reference, but my main character in the story
"The Way" is named Chase. So when I was in Phoenix, Arizona, I had to
get a picture of the sign for Chase Field. I got a magnet with
the logo too, heh heh. Nice-looking ballpark.
